The Top 100 Employers of 2007

As the job market fluctuates and uncertainties about work set in, CNNMoney.com has compiled a list of Fortune's 100 best companies to work for in 2007, spelling out for job seekers in a numerical ranking just where they should turn. So the next time you're wondering where to apply for a job, sneak a peak at this list, send in a resume, and wait to jump on board a good thing.

Here are just a few of the top 100 organizations:

1. Google. This million-dollar company not only oozes money but also obsessively cares for its employees by providing free meals, swimming, a spa, free doctors, a rock-climbing wall—you name it. Work may be work, but work at Google is surrounded by fun.

4. The Container Store. According to CNNMoney.com, this "storage retailer pays sales employees 50% to 100% above industry average. Nearly one-tenth of all employees take advantage of [the] 'family-friendly' shift, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., allowing for school dropoffs and pickups." Employees who work hourly paid jobs at the distribution center generally make about $30,508 per year.

16. Starbucks Coffee. While 85% of employees only work part-time, they still qualify (if they work 240 hours per quarter) for full benefits. Store managers (salaried) are likely to make $43,598 annually, while coordinators (hourly) are likely to make $35,680.

50. Microsoft. The software giant provides free grocery delivery, dry-cleaning services, and valet parking, and the Washington campus is huge. Employees also receive 100% healthcare coverage. Annual pay for software developers (salaried) is as high as $118,500.

69. Nike. Employees are free to explore the Oregon campus, which includes tennis courts, indoor and outdoor tracks, soccer fields, running trails, two sports centers, and an 11-lane pool used for swimming, scuba, and kayaking lessons. A material handling assistant (the most common hourly paid job) can expect to make $32,764 per year.

76. Deloitte & Touche USA. "As a thank-you for helping reach record revenues at the accounting giant, all 35,000 employees were given an extra four days of vacation to enjoy over the summer, plus two extra holidays around July 4 and Labor Day," says CNNMoney.com. Salaried senior consultants can expect to earn $77,011 per year, while hourly paid administrative assistants are likely to earn $51,666.

100. Stanley. Stanley takes care of active-duty military employees by paying them the difference in their salaries up to $100,000 and offers all employees 32 hours per year of professional training. A systems analyst at the company is likely to earn $56,867 annually.
