Unemployment in California

According to a California Employment Development Department report, California's unemployment rate jumped to 6.2%

Jon Haveman of research firm Beacon Economics said, "Things are very much trending in the direction of falling employment and rising unemployment."

Nationwide, the unemployment rate has risen as well. According to the Labor Department's latest report, unemployment has hit 5.1%.
