Many companies can afford to invest more in skilled workers than manual laborers, and hence the shift in economy, says the report. Finally, it also says that the average worker’s annual earnings have risen by almost one-sixth compared to his earnings in 1993, which is purely indicative of the progress that has been made in terms of salaries.
