Rep. John Boccieris shot to recent fame for his dilly-dallying and final switch from ''no'' to ''yes'' on the controversial Obama Health Care Bill (now implemented as law). Rep. John Boccieris is a Democratic representative from Ohio's 16th congressional district, which is primarily known for having a conservative mindset.

True to his occupational penchant for melodrama, projected indecision, and garnering publicity at all costs, Rep. John Boccieris plays his role of a politician with aptitude and brilliance. His primary indecision on the health care bill, allowed him to stay in the good books of his conservative constituency. At the same time, projecting that his final alignment with his party decision was a result of local pressure in favor of the bill served Rep. John Boccieris in two ways: First it explained to his constituency that he was with them, but was bowing down only to their opinions. And secondly, it allowed him to garner huge publicity without losing the favor either of his party or his voters. Without any doubt, his behavior on the health care vote demonstrates sound strategy and a winning mindset that knows how to create a problem, and then offer a solution while solving several problems in the process.

Rep. John Boccieris also has the record of taking leave of absence from the Ohio Legislature to serve in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom as a member of the Air Force Reserve. He is a pilot of the C-130 Hercules and had been deployed to war zones as part of the mentioned operations. His career in service of the Air Force, and eye-catching leave from legislature to serve the country in his personal capacity, has endeared him to the conservative voters of his constituency who see him as a patriot.

Rep. John Boccieris, of the health care vote fame, was born in Youngstown. He played minor league baseball for the Frontier league before opting to work as staff for members of the Ohio House of Representatives. He did his graduation from St. Bonaventure University, and has two master's degree from Webster University.

From 2001 to 2006, Rep. John Boccieris served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives, and then the Ohio Senate, until he was elected to Congress. He joined the United States Air Force as a lieutenant after working as staff for several House of Representative members for Ohio. Rep. John Broccieris re-entered politics after leaving active duty and won his way to the Ohio House of Representatives.

In November 2009, Rep. John Boccieris voted against the Affordable Health Care for America Act along with 38 other Democrats. Later, in March 2010, he voted for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, ostensibly, after being personally convinced that the health care bill in its present form would benefit middle class families and the nation.

Currently, Rep. John Boccieris is pitted in an electoral fight with Republican businessperson Jim Renacci for the seat in his Congressional district.
