U.S. economy grew faster in third quarter
The gross domestic product of the US economy grew twice as fast in the 3rd quarter of the year than it did in th esecond quarter. This growth was mainly due to consumer spending and government defense spending. Even with these promising results, experts say the economy remains slow to recover, with about 360,000 people filing for unemployment benefits for the first time.
