Federal Workers to Brace Themselves for Furloughs
The newest budget that Congress has worked out includes many spending cuts. These cuts equal an 8-10% spending cut for many federal departments, including NASA and the Defense Department. These cuts mean employees will be forced to take furloughs for up to three weeks. The agencies impacted will have time to notify their employees of the time off they have to take in order to meet budget requirements.
