Automatic Spending Cuts – Now More Likely
It’s good that finally sequester is going to take effect, and over a decade from now it will lower deficits by $1.2 trillion. Interestingly, the automatic spending cuts will reduce federal agencies’ spending by $85bn over seven months. What’s quite consoling is that the cuts would safeguard entitlement programs such as Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
