Part of our Mission is developing our entry level talent through ourProfessional Development Program (PDP). The PDP is a rotational program that provides the opportunity to experience a series of different assignments. The assignments will provide valuable experiences that will broaden the participant’s knowledge of the business and help guide each individual in obtaining his/her career goals. The program will support the individual’s growth through training, skill development, and networking opportunities. There will also be opportunities to learn, share experiences, and gain insights by collaborating with some of the best minds in the industry. This program gives its participants the ability to choose their assignments from a variety of departments based on their skills, area of interest, and availability.

Northrop Grumman is seeking Quality Engineers for the PDP.This position will be located at our Mission Systems Sector inone of our largest represented sites (including – Alabama, Illinois, or California) .

The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Mission Assurance Organization. The selected candidate will work in a people-focused environment where he/she will interact with users from engineering and manufacturing, customers, suppliers and other Quality Engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assignments may include:

·Develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product.

·Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.

·Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.

·Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.

·Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.

·Evaluates key suppliers, ensure the suppliers are performing well and their capacity and capability to deliver products on time is acceptable.

Basic Qualifications

A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:

·Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD) from an accredited institution

·Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)

·Be majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering

·Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

Preferred Qualifications

·Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.70/4.0 or higher

·Good presentation and writing/communication skills

·Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment

·Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects

·Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.
