Administrative Assistant- Human Resources
Duties: Providing administrative support to multiple offices; the office of Human Resources, the office of General Council, and additional support within the building. It is crucial this support role have strong customer service and be comfortable interacting with faculty, staff, students and visitors to the office. Will be responsible for preparing correspondence, reports, forms, maintaining departmental accounts, purchasing and travel requisitions and assist customers in person and over the phone. Develop and implement administrative procedures, standards, and methods. Plan and prepare periodic and special reports for the office of Human Resources. Coordinate the planning, preparation and production of materials for the office of Human Resources. Advise the director/supervisor on administrative matters within the department. Prepare purchasing and travel requisitions and maintain accounting and administrative records. Contribute in developing improved work methods and procedures. Assist in the scanning of employee files and departmental records for compliance. Interact with HR customers and assist in distributing information related to benefits, payroll, hiring, leaves and other HR related matters. Deal effectively with professionals, the public, and other employees in a pleasant and effective manner. Support the office with programs, activities and events.
