POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE COMPUTING ANALYST (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY II)
* The Administrative Computing Analyst for the University of Saint Joseph combines the skills of a business analyst, application support specialist, and reporting specialist into one. At any time the position can be called upon to help trouble shoot a problem with an application, help create a new report, implement new software, or create a new data extract.
* This position works with all the University departments as an expert in the use of the University software. The position functions as a liaison between the users of the systems and vendors to provide support and guidance in the use of the software the University uses to conduct its business.
* This individual is also responsible for working with other members of the Administrative Computing team to monitor and perform daily, weekly, and monthly backend systems tasks. This position also works with other members of the IT team to manage all help desk tickets.
Responsibilities (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
* Performs as a business analyst working with the various departments at the University to help apply current and new technology To fit business functions
* Manage application such as Jenzabar EX, JICS, Power Faids, Raiser*s Edge, Black Board, Budget Pak,E2Campus, Embark, Acalog, AdAstra, EzProxy, Informz, Maple, MapPoint, OnBase, Omni Update, Paper Save, QAS, QS1, Stanley systems, Track IT, TutorTrac , Visix, Echo360
* Designs, develops, documents, and implements integration with various applications and external sources, may need to utilize Integration Services and SQL scripting
* Design, Trouble shoot, Document, and/or Implement reporting using Infomaker, SSRS, and Crystal
* Design, Trouble shoot, Document, and/or Implement data processes as needed by departments to increase productivity
* Works with department units at the University to apply best business practices as needed related to their software and technology
* Works with departments units at the University to build meta data libraries to be used for reporting needs
* Monitors and performs daily, weekly and monthly backend system tasks
* This individual will assist with the training of University staff and faculty as needed in the use of software tools used by the University.
* Supports all University enterprise software including: new software implementation, software updates, day to day trouble shooting
* Supports the University web portal, MyUSJ
* Provides support to the University help desk by responding to problem tickets entered for the Administrative Computing support queue
* Keep abreast of market trends and technology as it relates to the University
* Monitor and maintain applications for service packs and upgrades
* Accepts other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor*s degree or equivalent experience
* Minimum of 3 years* experience as a business analyst
* Minimum of 3 years* experience in enterprise application support
* Minimum of 3 years* experience writing and managing enterprise level reporting
GRADE 11
