Application Support Analyst

Profile

Position Description


Responsible for responding to product application support questions from customers regarding the company's software. Analyzes problems with software applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Recommends solutions to customer application questions. May utilize specialized domain expertise related to the specific application of the software to resolve customer problems.





Minimum Requirements
6 years product applications support experience



Critical Skills


Must have skills:



* Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve, mostly over telephone conversations

* Experience with SQL data base (oracle environment preferred)

* Experience with Unix commands (or Linux commands)

* Ability to work outside normal business hours on call

* Demonstrated success with critical thinking and root cause analysis

* Strong troubleshooting skills

* Must be collaborative and capable or working in a team environment while maintainig a positive attitude in a high stress environment









Education
BS degree or equivalent experience.
