Assistant Dean of Admissions

DUTIES:Lead the development of Admissions strategy and initiatives that result in achievement of strategic objectives including: innovative Admissions programs resulting in attainment of enrollment and quality goals, utilization of processes and technology to streamline the admissions process, expand the applicant pool and improve recruiting yield, and implement initiatives to recruit minority students. Monitors admissions process to ensure compliance with ABA standards and all applicable federal and state laws. Maintains contact with LSAC, national and regional pre-law associations, and faculty at colleges and universities to keep abreast of and plan for new recruiting programs and opportunities. Evaluates and monitors efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment activities and effects appropriate changes in the recruitment program. Serves as the law school’s liaison with the Law School Admission Council/Services, Prelaw Advisors National Council. Develops, prepares and provides a variety of reports and data concerning admissions, recruitment and general office management, including (1) weekly status report for internal dissemination, (2) regular, periodic reports for ABA, LSAC, and (3) other reports that may be needed from time to time, including media requests. Collaborate in development of marketing strategy, branding, collateral, social media and website content. Advocate of ASLS and passionate about value to students Manage the administration of innovative AAMPLE (alternative admissions) program. Review admissions files and make decisions regarding applicant acceptance in conjunction with Admissions Committee Coach, develop and train members of the Admissions team. Represents the law school at various recruitment events. Provide excellent support and deliver consortium and Best Practices metrics and outcomes. Provide support to institution to ensure Gainful Employment compliance. Prepare and manage the Admissions budget Establish and maintain professional attitude and good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors. Support and role model the mission, vision, values and culture of ASLS and the consortium. Will be privileged to confidential information and must maintain confidentiality of information at all times. Other job related duties as assigned.
