Under general supervision of the Management Engineer, plays a lead role in process improvement projects by performing operational assessments including labor, productivity and process analyses, presenting results and recommendations and developing measurement tools to improve Parallon’s operating processes and systems and increase productivity. This position, while supporting overall operational efficiencies, will have a priority focus on Parallon’s Health Information Management Service Centers (HSC) labor and operations. This role will be developing creative, efficient, sustainable labor, staffing and scheduling recommendations, improving efficiencies and increasing productivity of the organization. Candidate should have a proven record of accomplishment.
Essential Function/Duties:
Facilitates process and operational quality improvement projects by functioning as an analyst, consultant, and/or project manager as required.
Plans, coordinates and conducts studies to produce operational best-demonstrated practices; analyzes and evaluates departmental organization, processes, methods, and equipment; recommends changes or improvements based on study results.
Sets specific productivity goals and directs the activities strategically and operationally to meet those goals.
Develops methods for measuring outcomes against standards; assists in the identification of criterions and effective qualitative/quantitative measurement tools. Must have experience in FTE management and hours management.
The position requires familiarity with shared service operations and health care industry practices and trends. Experience working with remote workforce scenarios a plus. Consults with HSC COOs and Managers for best-demonstrated practices and facilitates implementation efforts enterprise wide. Identifies problems and issues, communicates them to the appropriate HSC individual, and recommends solutions.
Supports enterprise-wide Process Improvement Initiatives by facilitating and/or leading benchmarking exercises, internally and externally to drive further transformational productivity. Oversees the BDP Database to ensure the company data is updated and accurate.
Monitors appropriate indicators for maximum productivity, efficiency, and resource utilization.
Coordinates and conducts training for staff on new processes and systems.
Makes presentations to a wide audience at the company and unit levels. Must have extensive PC skills including spreadsheets, databases, Word Processing and presentation applications.
Must have strong written and presentation skills, as well as experience in process re-engineering and the application of quantitative analysis techniques as applied in a shared service setting.
Ability to evaluate vendor proposals and implement as necessary to meet strategic goals.
Must demonstrate the ability to move beyond labor and productivity management by providing input toward areas such as resource consumption, supply management, business consolidations and information systems utilization. Will work closely with the Cost Accounting team to capitalize on synergies within the business unit.','!*!College Graduate.
