As the leader of the Juniper AV Operations team, the Audio Visual Operations Manager will be responsible to provide Juniper employees with a world class Audio Visual experience.
Leading by example, this person will ensure the smooth operation and availability of all AV services. Managing a team of on-site AV engineers in Sunnyvale to maintain and support approximately 500 AV-enabled conference rooms, including 75 video conference rooms. Provide employee orientation and training regarding AV where required.
Additionally, supervise AV Event team and vendors in the management of complex large meetings. Work as part of a team of production and collaboration specialists to coordinate and manage the pre-production, production, and post-production activities associated with live corporate events or meetings that require the assistance of audio and/or visual production expertise.
This individual is expected to help manage and coordinate audio and/or video services for events ranging from large corporate all employee web cast communications to small training events by independent business units.
The AV Operations Manager consults with business partners to determine program needs, identify production or alternate collaboration options, and overall event content. This role will additionally be responsible for the inventory management and maintenance of all audio and visual production equipment. Strong capability and experience of interaction with 3

Party event service providers and personnel is also required.
This AV Operations Manager position will additionally be responsible for providing daily operational support at Juniper Networks’ campuses throughout the Americas, insuring reliability and success of Webcasts, Video Conferencing, teleconferences and events meeting services.
You will interface directly with senior and executive staff at Juniper Networks and therefore need to be highly accountable, ethical and able to secure proprietary information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include
Lead team to operate & maintain all AV services in Sunnyvale campus
Operates audio and/or video equipment associated with conference rooms and event spaces.
Monitor the upkeep and operation of all audio and video production equipment.
Coordinate event scheduling, and execution on behalf of the corporation.
Communicate openly and effectively with leadership and peers.
Creatively collaborate with business partners to identify the right audio/video or collaborative solutions to achieve the business objectives.
Develop and demonstrate effective negotiation skills.
Ensure actions adhere to the direction of the company vision and values, while setting a positive example for other team members.
Participate in IT project and service review meetings, as appropriate.
Have working understanding of current audio/visual equipment, teleconferencing and business needs including:
Experience with a variety of DLP projectors
Polycom Video Conferencing
Codecs and associated transmission infrastructure
Creston and control systems
Audio Mixers
Video Switchers
Webcast Encoders
Microsoft Live Meeting and Microsoft Lync
Research and recommend new technologies around VC, Webcasting and other meeting service needs.
Work with internal and external departments to successfully achieve their meeting and audio/visual needs.
Responsible for IT coordination of audio/visual support of events and departments productions.
Daily monitoring and reporting of trouble tickets and metrics.
Required:

Solid understanding of existing audio/visual technologies, as well as, understanding of emerging technology and solutions.
Excellent communication skills in writing, presenting, informing and active listening; analytical skills and ability to develop and present metrics to reflect progress.

Well-developed leadership skills and demonstrated project management skills.
Significant business acumen and negotiation skills.
Broad video event knowledge and experience (corporate communication events, web cast events, training events, studio recordings).
Independence and ownership: Work with a minimum of direct supervision or guidance from others. Takes ownership for actions, seeks feedback and takes direction to support Juniper goals.
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Telecommunication, Video Production, Film Production or equivalent.
Desired: 7 years related experience in Audio/Visual operations and/or production
