Picture yourself working for an expanding European Services company that has been steadily growing in the US for the last five years. The parent company has a diverse range of offerings within the IT sector, locally they have made their initial foray within a targeted niche - Marketing/Loyalty CRM systems.
With a comprehensive end-to-end baseline product covering all their customers needs, the key to a successful implementation is in your hands.
There are actually two opportunities available, slightly different in nature;
Firstly, a stock standard implementation Business Analyst. The deal has been closed, start working with the client to further ascertain their requirements, scoping, process mapping, gap analysis, func/tech spec's, implementation, qa/testing, support, user training, product roadmap development, ongoing customisation/enhancement, etc. Get involved across a variety of clients at various stages through the project lifecycle.
Alternatively, a Pre-Sales Consultant - this is more of a Technical BA that backs up the Sales Reps. Always wanted to be involved in the sales process? Now is your chance - work hand in hand with the sales team; attending conferences/seminars, business meetings, conduct product demonstrations, configuration/customisation scoping, quotations, responding to RFI/RFPs, requirements gathering, func/tech spec's... the list goes on. This is a role targeted towards supporting the sales team to get clients on board, at most you may be involved in the initial implementation for 1-3 months to ensure the client expectations are been met before moving away from the project.
Both roles are key internally, just with a slightly different slant to your day-to-day functionality. Both require an extensive commercial background working as a Business Analyst, preferably with a Vendor/Consultancy background or having being involved extensively in product implementation / application development duties on a day-to-day basis.
Experience working with CRM systems of any capacity is a must to be successful, any Marketing or Loyalty exposure is a bonus.
Both roles require extensive travel across the US to meet on-site client requirements, though their head office is based locally in Chicago in between assignments.
