Essential Functions:

In this role, you will focus primarily on individual business processes and systems supporting the Payroll and Payments function, and interact with Finance and IT teams.

Business Functional Knowledge:

Full cycle Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense process knowledge, including Invoice review, coding, entering, expense reports and audit

Grasp of payment process: checks, electronic bank transfers, domestic and international wires

Understanding of vendor/supplier relationships

Assist with the month-end closing process, audit preparation and fieldwork, reconciliations.

Reconcile Accounts Payable and Accrued Expenses

Participate in further improvement and optimization of AP and T&E processes and procedures.

Review all business expenses in our expense reimbursement and management tool, while properly tracking and recording them in the general ledger

Business Requirements:

Create business process documents (process guides, templates)

Coordinate with IT, Compliance, Accounts payable, Travel and Expense and payroll teams to manage the development process and resolve issues.

Prepare and execute testing plans to ensure high quality results.

Monitor implemented systems and processes to ensure high performance.

Liaise between functions on process improvement initiatives

Document and communicate status updates to team members and Management.

Work with IT to understand, document and process flow

Job Requirements:

Excellent oral and written communication skills and process documentation.

Experience working with ERP Implementation and on complex projects.

Strong analysis, project management and reporting capabilities.

Collaborate with business users to define processes that meet business needs.

Ensure processes are scalable and flexible to meet future business needs.

Design processes that can be implemented with minimal disruption to supporting systems and are cost effective.

Anticipate the needs of stakeholders affected by process change and ensure that proposed changes represent the best overall fit for the organization.

Education & Experience:

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with full cycle AP and expense

A Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree required; Finance or Information Technology is preferred
