Clerk – St. Louis, MO
This is a non-exempt position.
The clerk position will work with the merchandising staff in the office to provide customer service, grain settlement, general accounting, and general office support functions for the St. Louis, MO Region’s Grain Terminals.
Accurately and efficiently perform the day-to-day processing of vendor deliveries, settlements and payments.
Responsible for vendor and customer master system.
Support corporate accounting staff with information and data requirements
Resolve customer settlement discrepancies
Monitor accounts receivable and provide updates to management as necessary
Monitor and process accounts payable, paying all invoices in a timely manner.
Preform payroll data entry
Provide general office support and back up support for vacations, illnesses, etc. as directed by management.
Maintain adequate office supplies
organizing and filing of records, and records management program
Special Projects as directed by management.
A strong spirit of teamwork and cooperation and a proven ability to cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with people at all levels inside and outside of the organization
Able to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, vendors and protect confidential information
Must be willing and able to work extensive overtime during the busy harvest season.
Must maintain a professional presence and demonstrate competency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with AGRIS or JDE accounting software helpful but not necessary
Strong organization, multi-tasking, and planning skills required
Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate reliability
Independent decision making and problem solving skills with the ability to develop solutions in a logical and systematic way.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Postsecondary education preferred.
Physical requirements: Extended periods of sitting, walking, bending, twisting, carrying light loads, keyboarding.
