We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform routine tasks in laboratory in accordance with company policies, procedures and practices. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Collects samples according to permit requirements. • Assists with entering into waste management software (WMS/Preview) all quantities and volumes received (as noted on the shipping document) • Assists with QA/QC analytical screening parameters as dictated by our NYSDEC Part 373 permit. • Enters analytical results into waste management software (WMS/Preview). • Verifies quantities & storages locations of all waste received. • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: • 4 year degree JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE: • 1 year experience in related industry. • 40 hour OSHA Training with 8 hour refresher course DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Must have a working knowledge of standard§ laboratory procedures and the ability to learn the procedures and polices of this company. Also, must have a working knowledge of data input. • Working knowledge of waste management rules, regulations,§ etc • Knowledge of all EPA and state requirements for§ laboratory testing. WORKING CONDITIONS: • Lab environment on site
