Citrix Administrator Position Summary:
The team is currently in need of a subject matter expert within Remote Access to work within other collaboration applications such as Messaging, SharePoint, and Mobility.
Responsibilities would include:
This person will provide daily support for our Citrix environment and all its infrastructure components: XenApp5, Resource Manager, and Web Interface. Work with end users, the help desk and engineering to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Implement new solutions according to project requirements as well as perform triage, escalations, and root cause analysis. This person must be a deep and broad hands-on Citrix expert, as well as a strategic thinker responsible for providing [IT service functions including incident, request, change, problem, and knowledge management]. This role entails 24x7 off-hours on-call responsibilities. This person must be able to work well in a team, but also have the ability to work independently. This person must also be willing to learn and engage with other technologies in order to support the overall team within Collaboration Applications (Messaging, Mobility, and SharePoint).
Citrix Administrator Position Requirements:
5 years Information Technology experience; 3 years Citrix XenApp operations experience.
2 years windows server experience (ver. 2003/2008) including its general administration (upgrade, patching, and installs), DR, and compliance/security concepts
Deep and broad Citrix XenApp experience (versions 5 - 6.5)
Experience in implementing and administrating Citrix environment
Citrix load balancing and load management.
Expert knowledge of Citrix client management.
Working knowledge of Edgesight and other system reporting tools.
Citrix Administrator would also meet the following criteria:
College degree preferred but not required, based on experience
Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) preferred
Familiarity with Citrix NetScaler
Experience with VMware and virtualization
Knowledge of enterprise storage systems.
Scripting knowledge (Powershell, etc)
Microsoft Exchange experience
SharePoint administration experience
Mobile technology experience (iPad, Blackberry)
