SUMMARY:
As a member of the Health Care Services Department team at MDA’s national headquarters, this position works to advance and administer all components of the Association’s national outpatient clinic network. The position also works as part of a team to advance MDA’s efforts as they relate to the Association’s transitions, equipment assistance, and outreach programs.
DUTIES:
CLINIC PROGRAM
Assist MDA district teams in understanding and applying the Association’s clinic program policies and procedure
Help advance quality improvement efforts relating to the Association’s clinic program
Work with MDA district teams and supervisor to process proposals for newly-established clinics and MDA/ALS Centers, as well as funding increases to existing clinic grants
Manage clinic databases and coordinate quarterly clinic grant payments
Implement annual clinic grant application renewal process
Assist MDA district teams in preparing for and reviewing annual budgets relating to clinic programs
Monitor clinic expenses through analysis of annual Clinic Program Summaries
Participation in MDA Clinical Advisory Committee monthly calls and annual meetings
Assist Director of Clinical Services as needed on matters relating to the Association’s national neuromuscular disease registry
Create and maintain clinic resources on MDA intranet, and assist with development of staff training materials relating to the Association’s clinic program
Work with internal public relations team to advance promotion of MDA’s clinic program
Assist with coordination of bi-annual MDA national clinical conference
Produce monthly Clinic Connect e-newsletter for MDA clinic team members
Review, process and distribute data from “Tell Us About Your MDA Clinic” online survey tool
Coordinate educational webinars
Assist with development and updating of clinic-related materials on mda.org
Develop systems and materials to acknowledge MDA clinic team members and clinic anniversaries
TRANSITIONS, EQUIPMENT and OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Assist with implementation of the Association’s Transitions Program, with an emphasis on health care transitions
Assist with implementation of MDA’s national medical equipment inventory program
Assist with responding to inquiries from the general public about MDA and its programs
Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with accurate data entry skills and knowledge of Access and Power Point
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a collaborative team culture
Ability to work in fast-paced environment and juggle multiple responsibilities/assignments simultaneously
Exemplary time management and organization skills; ability to meet deadlines and, when necessary, work within tight time frames
Experience working in medical facilities and/or healthcare delivery systems preferred
