Cyber Systems Engineer 2
At the intersection of technology and teamwork ...Northrop Grumman is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our elite and highly selective Cyber X-verse (X_vs) team, supporting the rapid development of Cyber Capabilities. The X_vs is an innovation team that brings together today's best minds in science, software, and cyber in a collaborative environment to develop revolutionary capabilities. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Specific:
* Create revolutionary cyber capabilities leveraging agile scrum development methodologies
* Develop new algorithms to enhance our user's understanding of the cyber battlespace
* Work within a highly collaborative team environment
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree with 3 years experience or 7 years experience in lieu of degree
* 3 years of experience in designing, testing, and integrating software products
* 3 years of experience in commercial, industrial or academic research and development
* Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelors and Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Mathematics or Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering
* Familiar with Java, Python, and/or C * Experience with user-centered design principles and practices
* Experience in model and simulation development
* Understanding of graph theory, machine learning, and/or agent-based simulation
* Previous experience in commercial software development
* Possesses at least a Secret Clearance
