Essential * Significant experience as a SQL and PL/SQL Developer (6-10 yrs minimum) * Significant experience of Oracle recent versions * Experience of database performance analysis and design * Experience of tuning tools and techniques * Experience within high volume transaction and / or financial services industries * Experience of development involving distributed databases * Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines * Good communication skills (written, oral, presentations) with the ability to work as part of a delivery team Desirable * Knowledge of Oracle instance performance monitoring and tuning * Experience with and RAC * Experience of Agile development practices * Experience of workflow tools and defect tracking tools (Team Foundation Server) * Experience of database unit testing tools
