The Enterprise Technology Marketing, Communications and Learning team is looking for an undergraduate intern to help manage the production and delivery of internal communications to internal users throughout The Walt Disney Company.
A Day in the Life…
The undergraduate intern will gain first-hand experience in a fast-paced employee communications environment. The undergraduate intern will have opportunities to work on a variety of projects, including large-scale I.T. implementations and highly visible executive-to-staff initiatives. Additional responsibilities will include:
Metrics - Run reports and assist in compiling metrics
Distribution - Manage and track distribution of materials to end user communities throughout the Company
Social Engagement- Manage and post content to the department’s intranet portal using the Company’s content management system
Digital Media - Assist in creating new and exciting multi-media communications including podcasts, videos, etc.
Basic Qualifications :
What we are looking for…
Technical savvy with an interest in information technology
Strong organizational skills; keen attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
Strong verbal skills to communicate effectively with vendors, contractors and clients
Social Media content management and strategy development
Interest in writing, graphic design and digital media
Be creative and comfortable introducing new thinking and concepts to projects, with the goal of maximizing client satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications :
Strong interest in social media and social networking
Photo and video production, graphics, music, narrations and editing using Final Cut Pro and Adobe applications
Required Education :
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program.
Preferred Education :
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Communications, marketing or other related major.

Additional Information :
The approximate dates of this internship are January 2018 through May/June 2018
Candidate must be available to work part time/full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
Able to provide own housing and transportation in the area
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Must be at least 18 years of age
