Digital Messaging Oracle & ETL Developer
Our Digital Messaging platform is a large integrated platform that manages data for our digital messaging functionality (email, sms, mobile notifications), from preferences to alert delivery and marketing campaigns. Technology stack is primarily Oracle & Ab Initio, but is integrated with many platforms including middleware, mobile, UI front end and other back end technologies /systems.
Participate in technical design, development and implementation of application systems, work with designer/analysts to implement enhancements or new applications in RDBMS environments, attend meetings to understand desired results, coding, unit and/or system testing as well as document changes. Occasionally requires troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations and might also direct work of junior application developers.
Responsibilities:
- Design and code programs, create test transactions and run tests to find errors and revise programs. Write documentation that describes installation and operating procedures
- Write new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic applications, systems design, and specifications and utilizing standard procedures and techniques
- Interface with system designers to design, code, test and implement application programs. Assist in developing application specifications
- Participate in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or military experience or equivalent years of experience
- 2 years Oracle PL/SQL or ETL development experience
- 1 year Unix shell scripting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related degree
- 2 years Ab Initio ETL development experience
- ETL design and development methodologies knowledge and experience is preferred
- 3 years experience in design & development in Oracle PL/SQL
- 1 year of experience working with Continuous Flows in Ab Initio
- Experience in middleware environments is an advantage
- Familiarity with Agile development & delivery methodologies
- Oracle Certifications (OCP certified) preferred
