Director, Center for International Development
Duties: Lead team in the development of strategy and outreach efforts to expand the Center's portfolio and adapt to the changes in the development environment. Provide, leadership, oversight and technical direction for the Center and is responsible for the overall growth, quality and financial performance of the Center. Articulate, adjust and support the Center's mission and strategic vision to expand into new areas of growth consistent with CID's mission in response to the current development environment. Identify emerging issues in international development and governance as they relate to the Center's mission. Identify and pursue funding opportunities in existing programmatic and geographical areas. Encourage entrepreneurial and collaborative development of new approaches and areas. Oversee the financial and operational management of the Center and its field offices. Encourage collaboration and inter-team learning and lesson sharing across projects, practice areas and countries. Market and represent SUNY/CID at public events, before donors, international partners and within the University. Liaise with other SUNY university centers and departments and form strategic alliances Articulate how the Center's activities contribute to Rockefeller College's and the University at Albany's overall missions of public service, research and learning, particularly as it relates to the University's commitment to internationalizing the campus.
