Director, International Scholar Services
Duties: Oversee the International Scholar area within the International Students and Scholars office. Responsible for the annual hiring of up to 1,000 international faculty, researchers, and staff across all of Purdue's colleges and schools. Manage and supervise a six person unit that is critical to the research and teaching mission of the University. Oversee the J-1 research scholar (visiting scholar), H-1B faculty/researcher, and employment-based Permanent Residency cases. Liaise with Legal Counsel for non-faculty labor certifications and other unique cases. Liaise with various departments across campus to ensure smooth procedures for filing various applications with the US government.
