Director, Pipeline Optimization

The Pipeline Optimization Director
will report directly to the Manager of Operations Services and is accountable for identifying opportunities and implementing solutions to increase Midstream Pipeline reliability, optimize operations and lower overall operating costs. The Director will consistently provide high level support to several operating teams including Midstream Operations and Business Development regarding operability and economic feasibility of growth projects.
Responsibilities may include
Reviewing and analyzing various operating data to identify opportunities to increase reliability, optimize operations and lower operating costs and provides recommendations for improvements
Identifying inconsistencies in operating and maintenance processes
Identifying best practices and drives consistency in field operations and maintenance
Providing technical knowledge to support field operation and maintenance of pipelines and facilities
Working closely with Division Managers to maximize the profitability and reliability of the assets
Assisting in troubleshooting of operational issues/inefficiencies
Performing economic evaluation on low performing assets
Developing relationships with Business Development to assist with the evaluation of growth projects
Helping manage and lead interfaces between Operations and Strategy Execution
Providing operation input and assistance to the development of growth projects
Reviewing scope, cost, and operability of key growth projects to ensure safe, reliable and fit for purpose
Supporting incident and near miss investigations as needed
Reviewing audit reports to identify out of compliance trends and provides recommendation for improvements
Developing and tracks Pipeline Operations performance metrics
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
7 or more years of experience in Midstream operations or related oil and gas industry
Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
7 or more years of experience in any of the following:

At December 31, 2015, our Transportation business managed over 18,000 miles of crude oil, natural gas, NGL and petroleum products pipeline systems in the United States, including those partially owned or operated by affiliates.
