Director of Partnership Initiatives
Duties: Responsible for the leadership, direction and revenue generation for the Law School’s non-degreed Professional and Continuing Legal Education programs. Charged with broadening the Law School’s impact through establishing and maintaining important external relationships and partnerships. Developing and implementing a strategic plan for Professional Education programming, to include current ongoing programs as well as new programs and opportunities to enhance reputation and revenue for the Law School. Program Management and Marketing: Design and implement a strategic plan to generate outreach and revenue for non-degree continuing legal education programs. Steward and enhance programming of existing Institutes to continue to attract national legal audience and prominent speakers. Ensure relevant program content and design. Maintain knowledge of legal market, both legal trends and industry leaders, to provide guidance, direction and creation of programming appropriate to sophisticated legal audience. Build and leverage relationships with highly successful practitioners, judges and academics and government officials which act in an advisory capacity in development of programs and as faculty in presenting programs. Responsibility for three on-going volunteer committees and over 250 speakers and faculty of national prominence. Cultivate relationships with existing committee leadership and build pipeline for continued growth. Direct marketing and communication plan for open enrollment programs to generate attendance and meet revenue targets. Develop and market innovative, holistic sponsorship opportunities for all Institutes that meet both Northwestern Law and sponsor objectives and enhance program revenue. Maximize relationships and market conditions to generate additional program revenue. Develop creative new programming consistent with overall Law School strategy. Manage, motivate and develop team members to drive results. Lead professional education distance learning initiatives. Fiscal Responsibilities Manage profit/loss responsibilities for all Institutes and programs annually with revenue in excess of $1 mm, meeting targeted revenue, headcount and profitability margins. Generate targeted sponsorship revenue in support of programming. New program revenue generation as directed by Assistant Dean. Working with Assistant Dean, External Partnerships manage special projects as directed that support External partnership team and the overall Law School strategy. Perform other duties as assigned.
