Duties: Under administrative direction from the Assistant Dean of Career Services, this career services professional will perform work of considerable difficulty in coordinating and implementing activities and functions in a fast-paced, student-centered, team environment. Serve as a vital member of the career center job development team along with focusing on student counseling, professional development programming and working with pro bono student groups and agencies. Create and oversee professional development opportunities for students. Direct and administer the Arizona Finest Lawyers Mentor Program for law students and member attorneys. Oversee and administer the college’s Post Graduate Government Public Interest Fellowship Program. Work closely with the career center job development team to increase employment opportunities. Counsel JD, MLS and admitted students. Keep accurate and detailed computerized records of counseling work with students and graduates. Review student resumes and cover letters. Implement networking programs for students. Work closely with professional organizations, alumni, employers and other career services professionals to develop relationships, create job opportunities, advance employment initiatives, and design student professional development programming. Create networking opportunities for students. Assist the Director of Pro Bono Programs with the administration of pro bono opportunities.
