Job Description:
The Director Products is ultimate position of responsibility and accountability for the quality and timely release of one or more of hCentive’s Health IT Software Product Solutions. The Director Products takes complete ownership of product management and engineering functions for one or more products based on a broad product and market strategy that addresses a specific market opportunity. The Director Products provides execution leadership to cross-functional and distributed teams owned by the Product Manager and the Engineering Manager. The Director Products manages the product marketing function and ensures that the product stays ahead of competitors’ in terms of capabilities and customer value it can create. The Director Products works with current and prospective customers to develop a product roadmap and prioritizes the capabilities.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Product Management Leadership: Responsible for the quality and timely delivery of initial and on-going product management deliverables that include Product Capability and Roadmap, Product Requirements, User Experience Design and Wireframes working with Product Manager(s) and Prospective Customers.
Product Development Leadership: Responsible for developing product release plans for the defined roadmap and ensuring a quality and timely release of demo and GA versions with Engineering Manager(s)
Product Marketing Support: Establish market leading competitive advantage for the product, operationalize and lead a process for maintaining the product capabilities and richness ahead of competitors’, Develop and maintain comparative capability matrix
Sales Advisory: Function as the highest level of Product SME Advisor to the Sales support team in managing customer opportunities

Ability to conduct customer workshops with Business and IT stakeholders to validate product direction and requirements
Outstanding presentation skills, strong storyboarding and Power point skills
Experience in product marketing, product competitive intelligence and analysis
Experience in product planning, resource planning, product release management with an ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues early on
Industry Expertise
Healthcare Industry expertise, thought leadership on industry direction and how to innovate
A good understanding of Healthcare (Health Plan and/or Health Systems) business processes would be required
Industry certification (e.g. AHIP) would be a PLUS
Experience and understanding of Healthcare Reform Act and Health Insurance Exchange Domain would be a plus
Industry authorship would be a plus
Technology Expertise
Strong understanding and experience in Business Application Software Product Development, preferably in a Health IT environment.
Experience in designing enterprise software and consumer web applications with flexibility and high degree of maintainability
Thorough understanding and expertise in the Service Oriented Architectures
A general understanding of various technology options and how to apply them to the product’s advantage
Experience in having led the development and release management of complex enterprise software products and solutions
Education
MBA or MS from a good school or MHA (Healthcare Administration) from a reputed University
