Emergency Management Specialist

Key Role:

Develop and manage the implementation of the federal client's Emergency Management (EM) and Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) defense programs policy and guidance. Analyze federal EM, DoD EM, and CBRN defense programs and applicable federal, state, and local regulations and related policies to ensure that client programs satisfy legally mandated federal requirements, executive orders, DoD directives, and instructions. Coordinate with the DoD, client headquarters and field units, industry, and public sources in developing policy and guidance and identifying programmatic deficiencies and root causes. Assist with the development of Joint and client doctrine that codifies the client's civil engineer emergency management capabilities, roles, and responsibilities in concert with other services. Develop and provide briefings and presentations of client EM programs at multi-functional and multi-service departmental working groups, integrated process teams, and forums at various

client, ANG, federal, Joint, DoD, and other agency locations. Evaluate client mission plans, programs, operations, and activities to determine resources needed to satisfy EM and CBRN defense EOD and FES related laws, regulations, standards, directives, and policies.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience in emergency management with direct experience with a DoD Service, including USAF emergency management

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook

-Knowledge of the DoD, emergency management, and emergency services, including fire protection, force protection, medical readiness, and explosive ordnance disposal, requirements planning, and CBRN defense operations across a full spectrum threat environment

-Ability to present at an executive level

-Active Secret clearance required

-AA or AS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with a military service headquarters level organization preferred

-Experience in a military readiness flight and with military civil engineering

-Ability to work with teams or independently, as needed

-Possession of excellent analytical and reasoning skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-BA or BS degree preferred

-Completion of National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training above IS100, Emergency Management, or Law Enforcement Certification

-Completion of FEMA National Incident Management System and other FEMA courses
