Engineer Electronics 3 - MP-RTIP Field Engineer
Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Provide engineering support to the operation and maintenance users on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the MP-RTIP Block 40 Radar system. Perform Installation & Checkout, Functional Checkout, and performance verification testing. Work with various stakeholders on all aspects of the Radar system to ensure that aircraft are available by the end users when required. Responsibilities include: support hardware/software testing, test development, analysis, troubleshooting, operational maintenance support, and some field repair. Candidate must have effective coordination, communication, and organizational skills due to frequent intra-organizational and customer interface that is expected. Attend weekly system status meeting, generate complete weekly status reports, etc. Provide administrative and logistical support as required. Short and long term CONUS and OCONUS travel will be required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be able to work as part of a team as well as work alone on program projects and possess excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. PC experience with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP is required. Secret clearance. Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or 3 years experience with a Master's degree. Willing to consider experience in lieu of degree; would require at least 13 years of experience to be qualified if non-degreed. Experience must be in flight line support, Integration & Test (I&T), or equivalent military experience. Ability to travel 100% is required -short term and long term travel. U.S. Citizenship is required, since the ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance is mandatory.
