Northrop Grumman is seeking an Embedded C/C Software Engineer to be responsible for booting processor boards and writing device drivers and application development for a Mercury/Greenhills Platform and Intel platforms. The work will involve design, development, integration, debugging, and verification of software and drivers in C/C . The person will need to interface with systems engineering to develop flow down software requirements and technical specifications. The person will need to identify risks, suggest mitigation, track defects and develop resolutions and report status. The person will also need to develop and execute unit and build verification test plans, track and report test status.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering /Computer Science or other related technical area. Ability to get a DoD Secret clearance. Minimal travel. At least 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; 10 years of related experience with a Master's degree. Experience with development of booting processing boards and/or device drivers required. Proficiency in C/C and real time processing including processes, threads, scheduling, synchronization mechanisms, memory management required. Experience with full software lifecycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance required. Familiarity with a structured process driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking, and build release practices required. Excellent communication and documentation skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Linux kernel and Linux device driver development preferred. Experience with vxWorks or other RTOS is a plus. Experience with cryptographic systems a plus.
