Engineer Systems 2
This position will be responsible for supporting the Engineering team through successful execution of several development and production programs in the Propulsion Power Generation Engineering department. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Responsible for executing all Systems Engineering work scope to meet program requirements and objectives within defined scope, quality, time, and cost constraints Performs scheduling, forecasting and cost reporting and analysis on assigned programs. Knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS).

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical/Systems Engineering, 0- 2 years engineering experience for Naval, military and/or related Defense systems. Experience in using Microsoft Office applications; Project, Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and DOORS. Familiar with integrated project team, engineering technical process, earned value, and risk management principles. U.S. Citizenship required with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of SAP and Configuration Management tools is a plus.
