Kiewit Offshore Services, a district (or business unit) of Kiewit Corporation builds structurally complex jackets and topsides for offshore oil drilling rigs. Located in Ingleside, TX, 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi, the 550 acre fabrication yard is the workplace of 300 staff employees and 1400 craft employee who work in the yard year round. Primary Responsibilities

Build, estimate, and schedule mechanical, electrical, and heavy industrial construction

Support both administrative and construction activities as assigned by supervisor

Review proposals/specifications and drawings; perform material takeoffs and prepare cost estimates

Attend pre-bid investigation meetings

Supervise subcontractors and communicate with vendors

Prepare work plans and ensure quality control

Manage and track costs and materials; schedule necessary equipment

Administer safety programs to adhere to company standards

Maintain exceptional owner relations


Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Maritime Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field is required

Knowledge of construction safety and current federal & OSHA Requirements is preferred

Strong attention to detail; ability to recognize discrepancies

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Should have broad knowledge of project scheduling and cost control; able to understand project owner specifications and engineering drawings

Familiarity with Sure Trak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log and/or Primavera “P6” is a plus

Dynamic thinker with the desire to lead, motivate and mentor teams

Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in leadership, safety, quality and productivity

Proficient computer knowledge including Microsoft Suite

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong work ethic with the ability to work individually and as a team

Committed to working safe and getting the job done right the first time

Ability to travel and relocate as required

Working Conditions

Will manage a diverse workload; must be able to handle stress and immediate deadlines

Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management

Possible travel throughout the U.S. and internationally

Occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds

Must be able to work regularly scheduled hours and occasional irregular hours
