Job Purpose:\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0Field Operator is\u00a0responsible for driving, operating, and maintaining service line equipment such as the Hydration Unit, Chemical Additive Unit and/or Blender equipment, Coil Tubing Tools, Pumping Equipment, etc.\u00a0 The Field Operator will also be responsible for mentoring and assisting in training for Helpers and Drivers.\r

Roles & Responsibilities:\r
\r
Responsible for driving and operating heavy and complex trucks and equipment (i.e. Hydration Unit, Blender, Coil Tubing Tools,\u00a0etc).\r
Responsible for calculating and monitoring chemical, fluid, and/or sand ratios and\u00a0lbs\u00a0per revolution to perform service.\r
Individually performs, or instructs Drivers / Field Operators, to adjusts, mix and/or add in chemicals, sand, or fluids as necessary based on calculations.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\r
Utilizes information gathered from calculations/ratios/or other factors in the field to adjust to situations and understands consequences to actions.\r
Acts as a mentor to lower level Helpers, Driver, Field Operators.\u00a0 Assists in training and provides guidance on safe and effective operating procedures.\r
Troubleshoots any problems with equipment\u2019s (i.e. chemical pumps, flow meters,\u00a0etc) and ensures damaged or defective parts get repaired.\r
Completes load / off-load paperwork (Transport of Dangerous Goods) as needed for Nitrogen pump jobs\r
Performs rigging in / out duties for service; contributes to safe rigging operations during and after service delivery\r
Lifts, carries and moves iron pipes, hoses, and fracturing equipment to / from trucks and well site\r
Aligns, assembles and disassembles iron, hoses, and service line pieces\r
Maintains truck and equipment to BJ Services standards, and ensures all equipment, including personal protective equipment, is in proper working order.\r
Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water pre-and post-trip\r
Performs routine maintenance on fracturing equipment (i.e. quarterly maintenance inspections, 200 & 400 hour inspections and services on trucks and equipment).\r
Completes required paperwork and submits it to the appropriate parties accurately and on time (i.e. Critical Well Checklist, fuel log report, timesheets and log books, maintenance reports, month-end expense reports, trip permits,\u00a0etc).\r
Maintains BJ Services Safety Standards at all times: shop, yard, location and while traveling.\r
Reports all hazards or potentially hazardous situations, accidents, incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor.\r
Attends weekly Safety Meetings.\r

WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ABILITIES:\r
\u00a0While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.\u00a0 The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud.\r
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms, lift up to 50 pounds.\u00a0 Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell; lift more than 100 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\r
Qualifications:\r
\r
High school diploma or equivalent\r
Commercial Driver License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement\r
2 years prior oilfield service experience\r
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), Transport of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)\r
Strong attention to detail \u2022 Ability to think on feet and adapt to situations\r
Ability to work as part of a team; strong sense of teamwork\r
Problem recognition and solving skills\r
Highly safety conscious\r
Highly motivated\r
Ability to work a work schedule of 15 days on, 6 days off, and travel up to 100%\r
