DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS: Position Overview:

As a key member of the Coca-Cola Company Technical Group supporting specifically the Freestyle Engineering and Innovation organization, the Freestyle Test Lab Manager will lead and manage the day to day operations and maintenance of all Freestyle Labs. The labs' primary functions are to support the research and development of new products, validate new software and hardware releases for sustaining and development projects and demonstrate new offerings to potential customers. This will include creating the needed processes and methodologies and acquiring and maintaining the equipment necessary to create and maintain effective and efficient work space in support of the Freestyle team. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully developing and implementing plans for constructing, maintaining and managing a development and test/lab environment in support of engineering and business needs.

Reports to:

Group Director, Freestyle E&I Dev Quality & Regulatory

Experience

10-15 years of experience in a technology company.

At least five, preferably 10 years of experience in hands on testing and maintaining complex systems of electronics, software, fluid and mechanical components.

5 years management experience.

Facility or lab management experience.

Experience managing facility expansion or new construction projects.

Scale/Scope/Duties:

Maintain, improve and manage operation of existing and future Freestyle labs.

Lead the planning and execution of the strategy to assess lab needs and execute based on the assessment.

Manage the construction and implementation of improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.

Ensure all required stakeholders are included in the strategy. Stakeholders include engineering, manufacturing, program management and field support departments.

Project management skills

Manage day to day operations of the Freestyle Lab(s)

Allocate resources to support multiple projects

Build and maintain work assignments to support on-going needs of the E&I project portfolio and the Freestyle business

Manage any necessary Lab(s) physical improvements and changes

People management skills-Hire and manage QA Lab Manager and technicians (both associate and contractors) in support of Test Lab(s) functions.

Manage on-boarding and training activities for new Lab(s) personnel

Oversee Permanent Field Validation (PFV) Testing

Test management of sustaining and new innovation projects

Provide leadership to further build internal lab capabilities

Provide vision and plans for Lab(s) management functions with respect to people, processes and tools required to support the changing needs of the Freestyle business.

Hands on knowledge of complex electro-mechanical and the ability to transfer the knowledge as an expert in the field.

Superior organizational and time management skills

BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
