Faculty - Information Systems and Technology
The candidate will teach a total of 14 courses each year. Provide a student-centered learning environment which enables students to attain success. Refer students with questions regarding financial aid, academic or attendance issues, technology problems, and or personal issues or concerns to the appropriate person/department. Report at-risk students to Academic Advising as well as perform outreach to students who are not engaging or are behind. Keep records related to student issues and challenges. Recommend improvements and changes to curriculum in designated course(s). Actively assist in University retention efforts including to, phone calls and email to students. Adhere to all faculty standards set by University. Participate in institutional assessments as assigned. Regularly attend and participate in faculty meetings and in-services. Remain current with trends, techniques, and advances in distance learning.
