The Kansas City Chiefs are seeking a creative and qualified intern to assist in the design, development and production of creative projects and services. The right individual must take great pride in their work and pay strong attention to detail. Applicant must have strong understanding of graphic design tools and standards along with a strong sense of design style. Must understand branding and be able to work within a strict style guide. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while keeping organized and maintaining the highest standard of design quality in all work. Needs to be able to work as part of a team or individually.
This internship is for someone who is willing to work at least 4-5 days a week. This is an unpaid internship and students must receive college credit.
Duties will include but are not limited to
• Designing promotional material (posters, print ads, postcards, brochures)
• Web graphics
• Brand Management (Logo)
• Event support (invitations, signage)
• Illustration and photography
• Assist Graphic Designer as needed
This is a very hand’s on internship. We are looking for someone who wants to grow and learn with lots of energy/creativity! Willing to be a team player and go above and beyond.
Good communication and listening skills are required.
The ideal candidate should have
• A portfolio in order to be considered for this opportunity. Please submit past and current work in either a PDF document or provide a link to your website. Online portfolio is strongly suggested.
• The ability to receive academic credit for the internship.
• Current enrollment in an accredited College or University obtaining a degree in Graphic Design or a related field.
• Housing available in the Kansas City area.
• Must know Adobe Creative Suite (CS4-CS5), strong skills in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Adobe Acrobat are required. Ability to work on Macintosh and Windows computers.
• A basic understanding of design methodologies, branding strategies, marketing, advertising, social media, typography, and writing.
• Comfortable working on multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-pace team environment.
• Great organizational skills, a keen attention to detail and the ability to work well under tight deadlines.
