Expectations for this role include:
Manage and resolve employee performance issues and conduct investigations as needed
Partner with supervisors to create and execute performance improvement plans
Communications – write and distribute communications to employees about promotion announcements, business initiatives, process updates, etc.
Utilize HRIS and local computer systems to analyze and monitor employee data/trends and develop workable recommendations
Process simplifications – ability to analyze current manual processes then recommend and implement processes improvements and solutions
Develop and execute HR programs to support key HR and business goals
Lead and execute the onboarding process from offer to offer acceptance, including recommendations for compensation offers
Assist with recruiting efforts to ensure all positions are filled timely; lead efforts for hard to fill areas through partnership with both local hiring teams and recruiters
Unemployment –compile and respond to unemployment claims including providing necessary documentation to TALX by deadline, manage the appeals process
Revise, update and create policies and procedures for the employee handbook
Keep current on local and federal employment law
Projects/Programs – special projects as assigned by HR management','!*!Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or three to five years of relevant HR experience
Knowledgeable on HR Laws and compliance
Must have a demonstrated ability to appropriately handle sensitive/confidential information, maintain composure under pressure and work without close supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong Excel skills
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to forge relationships with employees
