Head of Sales Strategy and Planning, Google Cloud
Google Cloud teams work with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile, and collaborative. You help fellow sales Googlers by performing budgeting, planning, and analysis activities — and through your passion for the magic of Google products like G Suite and Chrome. Not only do you provide invaluable financial and budgeting input, but you also devise new ways for us to communicate with potential leads and bring them into the Google fold. Your insight means you excel at customer segmentation, acquisition, and retention. You combine clean communication with strong analytical skills and a solid commitment to providing customers with a Googley customer experience. You also peer into the future for us; you examine and analyze statistical data to forecast marketing trends and to identify potential new markets for Google Cloud.
As the Head of Google Cloud Sales Strategy & Planning, you will work directly with business executives and key leaders on critical business projects. You will own strategic initiatives that include assessing market opportunities, developing go-to-market strategies and driving the associated business planning processes.
You will take on challenging, often ambiguous problems, applying sound business judgment and effectively communicating complex issues to audiences that include sales executives, product teams and senior Google leadership. You fully immerse yourself in data collection, draw insight from analysis, and then zoom out to develop compelling, synthesized recommendations.
This role affords a unique perspective on a fast-growing business within Google. You are comfortable operating under uncertainty, structuring complicated issues and finding creative solutions to business challenges. You are a self-starter that is comfortable working in a rapidly changing industry, and you demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

Manage the annual and quarterly planning processes, which include the development of the business plan, operating model, resource allocation, market segmentation, vertical prioritization and compensation design
Work with the cross-functional leadership team (VPs and Directors across Sales, Product, Finance and Marketing) to drive alignment on business goals
Structure and execute operational and strategic initiatives by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations
Own strategic initiatives on both an on-going and ad hoc basis, working collaboratively across the global organization
Oversee a strong people development agenda, including promoting skill building, setting forward-thinking objectives, collaborating across functions and providing opportunities and coaching on effective business partnering.
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of relevant experience in management consulting or corporate strategy.
MBA or a graduate degree in a management, technical or engineering field.
Experience of and proven ability to be successful in a complex, globally scaled product, sales and engineering environment, planning and managing at both the strategic and operational level - organized, detail-oriented, strategically focused
Experience leading cross-functional operational and strategic initiatives
Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment
Knowledge of cloud technologies, products, and market landscape
Superior ability to present to executives and communicate with highly technical management team
