Profile

Maintain the cleanliness of all Sundance lodging units. Follow Sundance Housekeeping protocols for cleanliness and safety.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Check out keys from Safety.

Check out radio from the housekeeping office.

Alert housekeeping supervisors which room is being cleaned by dialing the appropriate code on the lodging unit phone.

Change the linens on the beds and in the bathrooms.

Clean bathrooms in accordance with housekeeping procedures: showers, tubs, sinks, toilets, counters, mirrors and floors.

Place amenities in lodging units: shampoo, soap, body wash, lotion, conditioner, coffee, creamers, cocoa, teas, etc.

Clean the kitchens-refrigerator, sinks, dishes, and counter tops.

Dust.

Remove all trash.

Vacuum.

Report any broken items to supervisor.

Alert housekeeping supervisors that they are leaving the room by dialing the appropriate code on the lodging unit phone and/or via radio.

ALL SUNDANCE REPRESENTATIVES ARE EXPECTED TO:

Exhibit job and product knowledge to accurately support and promote all Sundance departments, amenities and programming ventures.

Demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

Keep information confidential as directed in the confidentiality agreement.

Support and comply with all Sundance policies, procedures, and standards.

Protect Sundance assets.

Be a positive ambassador of Sundance inside and outside of work

ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

Support and participate in environmental programs associated with position, for example: minimize waste, recycle, conserve energy, purchase and use sustainable products, educate co-workers/guests on environmental ethic, support vendors with similar environmental ethic, decrease pollution levels, minimize the use of toxic chemicals, restore wild life habitats. All employees are invited to participate in the Green Team and/or any Green Team sponsored events.

DRESS CODE

Sundance recognizes the impact that our image has on the guest's impression of the resort and the perception of our ability to provide professional service to our clientele. In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:

All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.

Housekeeping staff are required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.

The Housekeeping Uniforms consists of the following:

Blue jeans or khaki pants (without fancy embroidery)

Sundance issued shirt, sweatshirt, or coat

Clothing must be unwrinkled and clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).

Men's shirts must be tucked in no exceptions.

Appropriate skirt/shorts length is from the knee to the ankle.

A tailored fit is required of all clothing. Clothes that are too baggy or tight are not permitted.

If an additional layer of clothing is needed for warmth while on duty, it must either be Sundance issued or it must be warn underneath the uniform and not visible (except in the collar area)

Sundance Hats may be warn, but must be PRE-APPROVED by manager

Bare midriffs are prohibited.

Flip flops and sport sandals are prohibited in all areas.

Tennis shoes are permitted, but must be in good repair and not too flashy.

No open-toed shoes

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

TECHNICAL/COMPUTER SKILLS

Use of a 2-way radio is frequently required.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

A valid U.S. Drivers' License in good standing as determined by Sundance's Insurance Company guidelines is preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear for an 8 hour shift. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee must be able to work in extreme outdoor weather conditions to move from one lodging unit to another. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
