Job description
Support the progression of the Enterprise Architecture programme, whose global responsibility is to plan, direct and coordinate architectures pertaining to technology, information and data on an enterprise level. Support a cross-functional team of business analysts, applications and infrastructure architects with technical knowledge and architectural disciplines to ensure measured, steady progression of foundational architecture goals in the IT organization.
Provide architectural and technical support to the creation of road maps (between current and future state) in support of key functions within the organization. Interfaces across several business areas, working closely with IT leadership and business analysis to define the direction of future projects, programs and strategic solutions.
Monitors all IT and business project activities, ensuring currency, quality and integrity are technologically aligned to the business goals.
Drive Enterprise Architecture continuous improvement efforts. This position reports to the global Director of IT Governance.
Main Accountabilities
Globally
establish policy, process and procedure for Enterprise Architecture management practices surrounding architectural governance work, including the development
of global architectural standards and technical guidelines that are
congruent with existing ITSM policy, processes and procedures
Drive collaboration and engagement activities with management and peers within the IT organization to support the progression of the architecture agenda
Work closely with business analysis on tasks and initiatives to ensure that scope and planning activities are completed and delivered to quality standards
Support adoption of global change initiatives within the IT department
Perform
architectural reviews and support audits ensuring compliance to global standards
Ensure consistency of architectural and technical solutions across projects and programs globally
Design of Service Solutions with Technical and Applications Planning and Support ITIL process to drive service management improvements
Assign work tasks to staff, meeting project milestones and operational support expectations
Raise awareness of cross-functional tasks and activities to management to ensure sufficient support and engagement is achieved
Skills and Knowledge Required
Business Acumen and ability to present complex concepts to executive management in support of strategic objectives that enable business evolution
Proven technical understanding of application development strategies, technologies and risks with the completion of multiple releases
Operational experience with ITIL processes and Foundations Certification, advanced certifications a plus
Expert level skills in structured project management with the ability to teach
Analytically minded and methodical problem solver
Superior communication and interpersonal skills
6 years of progressive broad-based technical IT and business experience
4 years of experience as a systems architect
University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or technical discipline
Strong understanding of design best practices, SOA, BPM
TOGAF or equivalent certification
Experience developing policies, procedures, standards and guidelines
Fluent in English with other spoken languages a plus
Experience operating within a multi-cultural environment
