Job Functions:
3 Primary components of the role are:
• Data Center Management
• Release Management process (SW delivery and continuous integration process)
• Tools Management and Development (Test Tracking, Automated Test Framework, Enhancement Management, Prioritization and Implementation)
Also:
• Provide high value contributions to development and qualification of release features and functionality.
• Ensure successful facility move with minimal impact to engineering organization.
• Engage with engineering organization on addressing break/fix requests needs. Ensure critical issues are addressed and status communicated in a timely manner.
• Engage with internal engineering customers to proactively improve efficiency of the build, test and general lab infrastructure.
• Drive down Help Desk ticket back log.
• Advance and promote software engineering best practices and processes.
• Continuously assess and evolve technology and core components.
• Load balance with engineering cross-functional groups to achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications
• 10 years Datacenter HW/SW hands on experience
• Systems Administration expertise in at least one area (Storage, Networking, Servers, OS) with ability/aptitude and desire to grow across the domains.
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering best practices to a SW Development Infrastructure environment
• Deep passion to continuously deliver highly successful development platforms
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with: UNIX and/or Linux
