Infrastructure Support Specialist
CCCi has an opportunity for Infrastructure Specialists to join our client in St. Louis, MO.
Infrastructure Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support and life-cycle management of the hardware and software infrastructure supporting core business applications that have direct revenue, cost, or productivity impact on the corporation.
- Ensure the effective, secure and regulatory compliant operation and administration of client?s IT resources and consistent integrity of the various systems of data.
- Assist in the development of strategic technical direction for corporation within area of expertise concerning product mix, upgrade/transition strategies, new product/feature exploitation, and various technology solutions to improve and enhance overall business continuity and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Research new developments and trends in the computer industry to maintain professional expertise to assist in technology planning and influence the technology standards used by the company.
- Apply existing and emerging technologies to business problems to create practical solutions and efficiency opportunities.
- Provide technical training/assistance to computer users, operations staff and development personnel due to changes in hardware/software components
- Primary technologies supported include Windows and Novell operating systems, Intel server hardware, systems management tools, remote server management techniques, TCP/IP network components and services, Microsoft Active Directory, and other third party products.
Infrastructure Support Specialist Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer related degree. Consideration may be given to candidates with extensive related experience without the academic requirements.
- 7 years of experience with Windows or Novell operating systems, Intel server hardware, systems management utilities, network and network services, high-availability solutions, advanced server provisioning technologies, enterprise storage solutions, and disaster recovery required.
- 1 years of relevant project management experience required.
- General Oracle database knowledge
- General Server knowledge (Windows, UNIX, LINUX)
Infrastructure Support Specialist Desired Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years as an IT Analyst or Infrastructure Specialist Oracle Product knowledge would be a plus
- WebLogic, TomCat, Jboss would be a plus
