Job Description:

Assist the Director, Marketing Communications and Events, Institutional Marketing, as needed with event-driven tasks: conference support, schedule and material creation, food orders, logistical planning, print requests, expense management, and other various aspects of the due diligence process including the preparation of agendas, new pieces, and on-site logistics.


Support events and communications team efforts—manage expenses, check requests/ACH payments, compliance reporting, packaging/shipping, and other logistical responsibilities.

Maintain library of standard materials and regularly update collateral on the institutional intranet and extranet sites. Help enhance our digital marketing efforts.

Manage Adtrax compliance submissions and document review for the events, communications and thought leadership teams.

Assist with the preparation, production, packaging, and delivery of marketing materials, including but not limited to presentations, surveys, and additional marketing collateral.

Coordinate departmental mailings and email campaigns, working with, ExactTarget, and Cvent.

Maintain internal calendars, project tracking documents, and budget spreadsheets.

Partner with a variety of internal constituencies including client service, sales, product management, consultant relations, thought leadership, production, and other marketing professionals to coordinate the timely process of requests.

Support special projects as assigned. Create and maintain departmental process documentation.

Work within the Columbia Threadneedle Investments brand framework and guidelines to standardize content, approach, and appearance of assigned collateral.

Serve as communications liaison with governance, compliance, legal, and performance areas to ensure accurate representation of the firm.

Required Qualification:

A forward thinker with an enthusiastic and unflappable personality.

A strong eye for detail, design, and process.

Highly adaptable to new systems, programs, and technology.

Strong writing, proofing, editing, communication, project management, and problem solving skills.

Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Client service-oriented mentality with the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and willingness to pitch in as needed.

Able to work both independently and with direction.


Minimal domestic travel required for events and conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years of experience in a financial marketing or an investment services role. Asset management experience is preferred.
