JOB SUMMARY:- Provides high subject matter expertise regarding complex operational issues to both unit leadership and to the Investment Operations Analyst position.- Responsible for processing to most complex securities transactions and reconciliation with little supervision.- Assists in the review of transactional information to ensure policies and procedures are adequately followed.- REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:- Reports to Supervisor, Investment OperationsCORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1.- Assists, under minimal supervision, with the coordination, preparation and analysis of complex investment transactions, record keeping activity, and reports as assigned. 2.- Reviews, as requested, for accuracy, proper documentation and completeness, all reports, forms and data provided for the proper and accurate submission of required reports and securities transactions.3.- Responsible for maintaining the investment transaction records as needed for the coordination, preparation and submission of the various required reports. 4. Escalates complex securities transaction issues, discrepancies, un reconciled accounts, or other matters as directed and needed. 5. Work closely with Investment Accounting and Front Office- counterparts to ensure proper coordination between areas.6.- Maintains current knowledge of changes to investment operations transactions, procedures, statutory compliance and reporting requirements which will impact transaction processing.7.- Participates in the development of changes to area(s) of responsibility that would enhance, improve or facilitate job performance, processing or workflow.- Participates in changes and enhancements to related investment operations technology.8.- Participates in the development and design of investment reconciliation processes in order to ensure accuracy of information within investment operations systems.9.- Assists in review of transactional information to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.10.- Completes, as assigned, reports on projects in an accurate manner including proper documentation. 11.- Assists in the preparation of complex financial information provided to external auditors, IRS and state examiners and responds to questions, as required. 13.- Prepares special reports and presentations as directed. 14. Performs other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.- Designations/ Certifications: Experience:- Four years combined experience in investments, investment operations and/or accounting, or financial service industries and within a specific product/business area.- Knowledge:- Acumen for industry practices, procedures and regulatory requirements desirable.- GAAP knowledge, practices and procedures, desirable.- Insurance and/or business area regulatory requirements also desirable.- Familiarity with financial statement preparation.Skills/ Competencies: Verbal and written communication skills for contact with all levels of management or external entities. Ability to analyze complex and advanced reporting requirements and financial data to determine proper compliance and disposition.
