Purpose of the job:
The Global Hygiene Products Business is technically driven. Therefore, it is necessary to assist customers with their technical problems, develop new products and new application technologies. The technician's job is to perform and document laboratory work and to interact with essential personnel, suppliers, and some customers.
Education:
BS in Chemistry or related science degree.
Knowledge / Experience:
Ability to organize time and be able to perform multiple routine tasks in a specific application area.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally/written:
a. Observations
b. Results of experiments
c. Test details
Knowledge of PC's and related software
Hand on, mechanically skilled person to operate larger laboratory equipment (kneader)
Job Responsibilities
1. Perform simple mathematical calculations using computer and/or calculator.
2. Prepare samples and/or recipes using gravimetric and/or volumetric methods and provide necessary visual observations.
3. Test samples for properties such as solids, pH, viscosity, and rheology using scientific instruments.
4. Assemble/ disassemble and maintain laboratory equipment.
5. Record data using accepted laboratory protocols and methods.
6. Follows Client policies, practices and ethics in the performance of individual duties.
7. Operate larger laboratory equipment like kneader or mixers
