Lead/Senior Software Engineer - Java eCommerce

Lead and Senior Software Engineers are charged with design/development efforts for some of the largest ecommerce clients in the retail industry. This process consists of synthesizing functional and technical specifications to develop web applications following Micros-Retail standards for coding, documentation, design, and security practices. Senior Software Engineers mentor Software Engineers to help them develop their skills and abilities. They collaborate and work closely with Project Managers and System Architects. This position is integral to the success of the team and Senior Engineers must actively participate in both internal and external (client-facing) meetings.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
Qualified candidates will have experience/knowledge in:
* Java and OO development best practices
* Working from and creating UML specifications
* System maintenance and monitoring processes
* Change management and code deployment methodology
* Systems integration
* Managing multiple projects and deadlines
* Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* Participating in code reviews
* Have strong written and oral communication skills
* Transactional systems (preferably commerce)
Required Education and Experience qualifications:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
* 4 years experience in: Object Oriented Development for Senior level, 6 years experience in: Object Oriented Development for Lead level
* Lead level candidates MUST have experience leading, guiding, and directing a team of developers.
* Strong experience in: Java Development; J2EE Application Servers; SQL and RDBM
* UNIX administration is also helpful
* Must be extremely detail oriented.
* JSP, Servlets and MVC Frameworks such as Struts or equivalent
* Developing dynamic web 2.0 applications with Advanced Object Oriented JavaScript using frameworks such as Ext JS, Prototype and Jquery
