Linux/Red Hat Systems Administrator

Profile

• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4, 5 and 6.
• Experience building and managing RPMs in a large environment.
• RHCE certification preferred.
• Experience administering VMware virtual machines required.
• Experience with Apache 2.x, Tomcat 5.x and up, ant, perl and bash required.
• Experience with RHN Satellite Server and kickstart a plus.
• Experience with Weblogic 11g a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with networking principles: routing, naming services, port-mapping, protocols, network address translation, DHCP, iptables, etc.
• Must be able to create and maintain technical documentation. Visio skills a plus.
• Ability to analyze technical and functional aspects of a program and troubleshoot
• Ability to organize work, prioritize tasks and manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a high quality of work.
• Excellent people skills, organized and detail-oriented
• Experience with capacity planning and forecasting for future growth
• The ability to work in a fast paced team environment with the understanding of change management, quality controls and security required.
